Where did Lewis Carrol get his Jabberwocky?

Where did you get your figures?

My reaction is Gallup numbers is that with DC on vacation Bush monopolized the airwaves and made a smart compromise on stem cell research, not enough to piss off anyone too much. Good politics. But remember none of the real bigger issues are in play right now. Nor will they be until the fall. As a result Bush jumped nicely from the last poll taken two weeks ago when DC debates were still raging. If I were a Bush handler I'd be pleased but I wouldn't put too much faith in this new poll. Americans are complacent right now but big issue is not even in the press yet and that is what the Lieberman investigation will uncover. Also campaign finance reform. Bush has to be very-very careful to appear a moderate from now on and keep his spinners spinning away. They are clever spinners. Notice we haven't heard from Cheney in what feels like months. That's deliberate. But it doesn't change his policies which remain as a group unpopular special interest giveaways. Also remember Bush has no opponent right now except himself, and give him credit for a good show on stem cell research. Even opponents can't be too concerned. Also it being August most peoples minds are on vacation. I'll take mine in September.
