Hits too close to home eh ?

It should be spread as far and wide as possible. It demonstrates clearly, the silliness of the left in stating the tax cut is unfair.

Care to explain why someone who does not pay taxes should get a tax cut ?

The US is already a tax haven for the world's rich which is one reason they all want to move here.
Have you noticed that it's also a haven for the world's poor? They all want to move here too. Even more than the rich. Because of all the opportunity this terrible, unfair system offers them that their own socialistic economies don't.

Such thinking would
bankrupt SS, Medicare, Education and even military programs

We had an Army and Navy before te income tax existed at all. I'm sure we could find money for the Air Force without it.
But you're right: SS, Medicare, and Federal AId to Education would probably have to go. Bye bye.
OTOH, public education existed before income tax too, so it could be funded.

Also the rich have so many tax loop-holes and write-offs they never pay close to 35%
The IRS disagrees with you. But you already know that. You're just pretending ignorance.

As long as they're permanently out of business, the problem is what?

That "hogwash" is a very simplified way to explain that the wealthy DO pay the taxes in America. The left's pandering to everyone with the tax breaks for "the richest 1%" is shameful.

Why do you feel that the rich should pay for everyon's problems? Note that I am not saying we should have no sliding tax scale, but to say that it is unfair to the poor (or even imply that it is) is a disgrace.

The following line is a flat out lie or severe mis-information on your behalf. What specifically are these tax breaks?

"Also the rich have so many tax loop-holes and write-offs they never pay close to 35% or whatever it is now anyway"

You are completely full of it with the following. You are showing just how little you know about matters that you speak about.

"who can write off travel, entertainment, servants, trusts, many large purchases wihch can be claimed as business items, etc"

Excellent post. Your analysis hit the bull's eye. I always find it interesting that some of the most hateful right-wingnuts are middle-class people (often engineer types) who have been downsized out of jobs. Do they blame Big Business mismanagement or the "profits at any expense" philosophy that cost them their jobs?

Absolutely not. They'd rather bash poor people than address the real problem areas.

Again you miss the point.

Its not about paying higher taxes its about what is the fair share and when do taxes become too much of a burden that they impede wealth creation. Without wealth creation or the precieved opportunity to create wealth (the reward side) there are no investment since the risk would be too great. Lowering taxes lowers the risk.

For someone critizing President Bush on his intelligence you keep showing a capicity to miss really simple points.

Just remember the "rich" pay 80% of the tax.

Now when you start showing your ignorance on social security and medicare social security is old age, survivors and disability insurance and medicare is hosipital insurance.

As for loop holes for high income earners most were closed under Reagan. The highest tax rate this year is 39.6%.

You should spend more time educating your self versus showing your ignorance. Actually IF you put in the effort and made the sacraficies most of those wealthy did you might actually move up a tax bracket or two.

Why don't you point out our tax system actually encourages staying uneducated. Right your not smart enough to understand.

As for giving Rockerfeller gave a good % of his yearly income to charities (never mind properties) and this was before an income tax. Are you really this stupid??

Hey is your buddy Gray still feeling smart knowing his policies have locked in CA to higher energy rates than if he acted 2 years ago or waited till now.

I see the Democrats are starting to have a problem with the intelligence angle. It Dashel going to stand with a Lexus again when he bashes Bush's energy policies. The auto workers and teamsters just luv that one.

Now connect the dots. If you go back to the 1st paragaraph you'll see the wealth or soon to be wealthy are the ones creating jobs. I know you don't know what job creation means but thats a separate education
