I don't have an issue with X about religion. We disagree. That's fine.

I do have an issue with sanctimoniously dishonest hypocrites.

Bigots who know they're bigots and don't pretend they aren't (Solon, for example) don't bother me.

But I have a "thing" about honesty and personal integrity. I respect them, and disrespect their contrary. It's people who pretend they're so tolerant and right thinking who are in fact dishonest and bigoted that set my teeth on edge.

That, not her atheism, is what have an issue about with X.

And as a teacher myself, son of teachers, son-in-law of teachers, husband of a teacher, and father of two prospective teachers, I have a healthy respect for teaching which is offended when the dishonest bigot is someone who is, or at least claims to be (X has a long-standing practice of pretending to be on SI that which she isn't, so we really don't know what's true and what's false about her) a teacher.
