thanks for the URL ...

strange as it may seem, the ONLY modem I can recall throwing in the trash whilst it was still anywhere close to being up to date on the available speed was a Hayes ..
and danged if it wasn't one of the most costly ones I've ever gotten .... ggggg

seems to me that Lucent does make a lot of OEMs ...
and they are ok by me ...
I don't have the new Dell running right now, and I don't remember what it came with ...
btw ..
it did have a built in network 3Com ...first one of those I've had ...

I'm def NOT enthused about anything being built in ...
when it comes time to change/upgrade the built in things (vid, sound, whatever) ALWAYS give me trouble .... always ...

I hope to upgrade everything I'm using in the next few months ....
I have the parts mostly all on hand now ...
slowest thing I'll be running "should be" my email/mIRC machine at 750 ....
and
I'm going to downsize to only three boxes and five monitors .... (not counting the email machine) as it doesn't sit on the trading space worktop ......
