Of course, it should not continue indefinitely. If it does continue indefinitely it tends to foster a feeling of entitlement in those that recieve it and resentment in those that don't. It tends to consider people as part of a racial or ethnic group first and as people or citizens second. In the short run it might mollify the anger and resentment that some feel in response to past injustice but in the long run it divides people. Tim
