I just spoke with Eric Ross - on the telephone (1-415.364.2500 - for those of you who would like to talk to Eric !!).

He claims that he heard from "Channel Partners" that Intel was having problems with the XBOX motherboard - and he is STICKING with his story - DESPITE MICROSOFT's DENIAL of any such problems.

He claimed he saw the just-issued Press Release from Microsoft - and again - he re-iterated his information from "channel partners".

Must be the same "channel partners" that gave ol' Eric the Exclusive on Dell switching to AMD CPUs for their Mobile Computers !!!

Paul, >``We're not commenting on specific Xbox(TM) video game system manufacturing efforts, but we can say that there is absolutely no problem with the design of Intel's motherboard. Intel has been a fantastic partner and has delivered on everything for Xbox to date. We're still marching toward our planned Nov. 8 launch date for Xbox.''

Well, like Snowrider from TMF said, that ought to be three strikes, you're out and go find the pine for Thomas Weasel Partners.

Tony

Hi Paul

Re: "REDMOND, Wash., Aug. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- ``We're not commenting on specific Xbox(TM) video game system manufacturing efforts, but we can say that there is absolutely no problem with the design of Intel's motherboard. That statement from MSFT certainly sounds "Clintonian" to me. If there are no problems, why not just say there are no problems. I'd guess there is some problem, but it is not with Intel so Intel asked them to make that clear. Think so?
