Somebody needs a copyeditor. GIGO. <g> (or Goo-Goo, I'm not sure which.) If we try, we can find a tune for this ...

(Oh, dem AMAT earnings all night long, doo-dah, doo-dah ...)

Verbatim from Reuters, via moneycentral.msn.com. Get a laugh out of the vaporlock in THIS article:

Paul V, RE: "AMAT's price should continue up in Tito's YoYo fashion. I expect AMAT to break its previous DW double top."

In this AMAT YoYo Play, the Analyst(s) assigned to Drop the stock 20% or more did not do a good job coordinating with his followers. Probably the next Analyst(s) will do a good job for the Catch for the stock to do a Triple Top. In the past, the 4th try to break a Barrier --- this time 60 --- is a Charm for AMAT. Usually the 4th try is just days after the 3rd.

In any case, because AMAT moves in a YoYo fashion, any Catch is met by a Drop of 10% more or less.

Paul,
So far not so good for nasdaq. Would be nice to get amat to lead us out of the wilderness but earnings will be forgotten soon so I agree with you that today will be very important going forward. Has anyone seen any analyst comments today pertaining to amat? mike
