Well if you shoot everyone I guess you will get peace. No one left to fight. But if you kill everyone who is extreme and/or violent and those who would be moved to be that way by the killings then you would have to kill a significant fraction of the people in the area. More then the current violence is killing (although I suppose a smaller % of them might be innocent). If your going to kill all these powerful people you would probably have to have a powerful military force take over the area and declare martial law. Physically the US military could do it, but politically it could not and if it did it would be subject to a lot of terrorist action.

Understanding that you were serious atleast in a theoretical sense I ask if you where also serious about the idea of actually implementing such a policy. Its one thing to say the world would be better with person X, Y or Z dead. Its another to actually start assassinating them or invading a country to throw them out of power and maybe kill them.
