Do some friggen homework. You knowledge of the subject is clearly lacking.

And I blame no particular individual, I only site the events.

You said that the french left / we entered. Well we entered the war 7 years after they began leaving.

It would be much more accurate to say, The French left because we did not enter, since Ike refused direct intervention at Dien Bien Phu.

You said we entered the war in the 50's. We did not.

We provided aid, begining in 1950. And while the situation was certainly a war for the men on the ground, that can hardly be characterized as the US entering the war.

The Chinese provided aid to the North Koreans that supported the initial attack on South Korea, but did not enter the war until MacArthur went too far (in their view).

No one ever says the Soviets entered the Vietnam war, yet they provided aid to North Vietnam, even going so far as to have some pilots flying Migs in combat.

Your statements mis characterized the situation, but I am repeating myself.
