Wow, you post is very impressive and yes we are at opposite ends on the issues. I still believe that John and Bobby concluded the "system" was totally corrupt and decided to fix it and they got fixed instead! BTW, the "system" is still very corrupt as we speak and every time someone tries to fix it the remedy is killed quickly. Things like term limits are an example

BTW. I think JFK and RFK were great too. Only a super rich kid would come up with a strategy like the arms race (building weapons you dare never use, and racing to the moon)to drive your opponent's economy into chaos.
Isn't that precisely what Reagan did? He was wealthy by the time he was President, but he certainly didn't start life that way.

If anyone of that time period was an outsider, it was Richard Nixon. IMHO Nixon desperately wished to be a "member" of the "System", but never was. I think it was a chip he carried on his shoulder for his entire public life.
Yeah. Drove him NUTS! He made it all the way to what he conceived of as the top of the heap (the Presidency), and the in-crowd STILL snubbed him.
