Wrong again.

Until born, a fetus is solely dependent on the mother.

I don't know about the babies in your state, but the ones here do not become independent for several years. Maybe the abortion supporters in our area could lobby our legislature to make abortions legal until the age of 3 or 4 years to take this particular feature of our infants into account.

Only once the fetus is born, are rights given to that newborn.

I guess I missed the appearance of the official giver of rights when my kids were born. I was there during both deliveries but I did run to the restroom after their births. Maybe he/she came during this time. So I'm not saying this part of your explanation is false.

Using your rationale the mother can instruct a doctor to stick a needle into the skull of a fetus as it presents itself during birth. Actually you could wack it's head off after only the head is exposed during birth.

You are such a civilized thinker.
