ZA & Netscape

Thanks for all the info. I have a pop3 mail account and don't need/want the netscape web account. Found out I can get my pop3 mail without giving Netscape server rights - -and the browser works too - -provided I connect to the internet FIRST then load Netscape.

ALSO, I set the netscape web mail for --"never check" - -wondering if I can delete it entirely. Anybody tried to get rid of it??? I don't want any junk mail or ads that the web address seems to bring.

WHAT DOESN'T WORK: reading mail offline.
If I try to read the pop3 mail while offline -(opening Netscape without an internet connection live) - It opens, but is locked: browser and mouse clicks don't work - -nothing opens and some items on toolbar are grayed out. Have to do a control alt delete to end task to get the computer working again.

SO for now - -I am denying server rights and reading all mail online, AFTER getting a live internet dial up connection.

The new Netscape browser is faster and probably worth updating if you haven't before. Cookie and password management is much better. I got rid of all the AOL stuff/instant messaging and closed the sidebar down too. I used to read all mail in Netscape, then copy the URL's to the run line and use IE to load the URL- -IE was so much better for browsing. Find that I am happy with the Netscape browser and don't go thru the extra steps now to just use IE.

BIG Question left- -can I delete the netscape web mail folders, profile, etc - -not sure about that. donna
