The government mediates our responsibility to the patria, and articulates in detail the rules under which we live........

How ???

And where in the Constitution does it say that ?

Something really unjust going on then. 30%,40% of the population gives nothing - just takes. Thinks it's their Right.

As a matter of justice, we each owe something to our homeland, to our ancestors and to the community into which we were born.

Elvis just might still be providing some folks a job but I can't think of any other dead folks doing the same. And just try to get a dead guy to bring you another beer.

It is because of those who settled the New World, built a nation, tamed a continent, fought to preserve liberty, and continue to provide jobs and services now, that we have a place in the world, and can be grateful that we were born into a great country.

The idea that we owe something to our homeland has caused more wars than [false]religion. Or if not caused, at least provided a lever for unscrupulous politicians to manipulate people into war against their best interests.
