Medtox Scientific Inc., St. Paul, said that a federal appeals court upheld a lower court ruling that Morgan Capital must pay Medtox more than $709,000 in a
short-swing profits case. Medtox, which provides specialized laboratory services, said Morgan Capital was found to have engaged in prohibited short-swing purchases
and sales of Medtox stock in 1996.

Metris Companies Inc., Minnetonka, said Metris Receivables Inc., its wholly owned subsidiary, will issue $650 million in three-year credit card asset-backed
securities.

NWA Federal Credit Union, Apple Valley, has become the first credit union in Minnesota to reach $1 billion in assets. It serves Northwest Airlines employees,
retirees and their family members.

ImageTrend Inc., Lakeville, said it has developed a pork production data-collection system for MetaFarms.com Inc., Eagan, a seller of animal-management
software and information services.

Mocon Inc., Minneapolis, has added a permeation testing laboratory in the Boston area.

Cinta Networks, San Jose, Calif., has selected Minnetonka-based ADC Telecommunications Inc. to provide installation and field support for Cinta's
WaveJunction optical wavelength networking systems.

Agere Systems, Allentown, Pa., has opened a business and technology center in Mendota Heights. The facility consolidates Agere's Bloomington and Eden Prairie
groups.

Visionics Corp., Jersey City, N.J., said the state of Minnesota will use its FaceIt technology for managing mug shots in a new statewide integrated criminal justice
system, called CriMNet. Visionics recently acquired Minnetonka-based Digital Biometrics Inc.

Chronimed Inc., Minnetonka, said it will move the support functions for its StatScript pharmacy division from Kansas City, Kan., to Minnetonka.

Hypertension Diagnostics Inc., Eagan, said revenue for the fiscal year ended June 30 was $2,047,304, nearly a five-fold increase in revenue compared to $423,490
for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2000. The company recorded revenue of $90,500 in the fourth quarter ended June 30, 2001 compared to $129,249 in the quarter
ended June 30, 2000. Full results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year are expected to be released the week of Aug. 24.
