Pravin: They stated that they are targeting their stand-alone GPUs for the huge P4 ramp, and the integrated nForce for AMD platforms. They were very excited that unlike with the i815/P3, there is no integrated graphics solution for the P4. This market is where they expect to sell their expensive GeForce3 cards.

Actually, this would seem to make a great deal of economic sense in the very short term. Before long, ATI will be coming out with an ultra-integrated chipset (and the other chipset manufacturers all have something on the drawing board) and the situation will change.

AMD is very fortunate that NVIDIA's strategy benefits them as well (in the short term).
