Hi,

Did you close your position because the stock went up or because the time value eroded ?

From all that I have been reading lately here, it seems like selling puts might be the way to go.

Maybe. If this is being done in a taxable account, and you continue to do this every month from now through May 2037, then you will have used up all of your capital loss carry forward and will have to pay income tax on capital gains again.
