>>True or false the rich in the US have the lowest tax rates of any western industrialized country? <<

True, and so does every other tax level! We're the lowest taxed country in the world, why do you think we are world leaders in most industrial / technology area?

>>True or false the government just had to borrow to pay for
the Bush tax cut?<<

True, because democrats couldn't wait to refund NEXT YEARS tax cut as touted by many liberals here.

>>True or false the energy cartel just pocketed 100 billion or so in the US alone in greater profits (gouging, windfall profits) as supported by Bush-Cheney and which roughly equals the entire amnount of the tax break?<<

True, a real shame that a company is in business to actually make money, but your theories of conspiracy gouging have been disproven so many times that you've lost any credibility.

>>True or false when you cut social programs it creates social unrest
including crime?<<

Patently False.

>>True or false the US is a tax haven for foreign multi-millionaires? << False, the Cayman Islands holds that title I believe.

>>True or false private jets, yacht parties, travel and entertainment are tax
write-offs?<<
True sometimes False sometimes.

>>True or false when you cut federal tax state, local and sales taxes have to be raised? << False

>>rue or false Bush cannot afford to implement many of
the programs he promised us because of his tax cut and because his people exaggerated the amount of the surplus? << False

>>True or false, the tax cut is having
only minimal positive effect on the economy and markets?<< Whats it been? Like three weeks, gimmie a flippen break.

>>True or false, Bush has done nothing to boost the economy besides the deficit-creating tax cut
and has no other ideas but imncreased energy exploration? <<

False

>>True or false Bush is depending on jobs creation in the energy sector at the price of
environmental devastation?<<

False

>>True or false soft money is highly corruptive and John McCain has withstood tremendous pressure from his own party to stand
up for reform but Bush and Company wants to kill it to preserve the institutionalized corruption status quo? <<

John McCain ought to know it's highly corruptive. Fact is McCains bill is a slap at freedom of speech.

>>True or false a high percentage of Bush cabinet
and appointees are from the energy sector including lobbyists placed in positions to police their own industries (which they won't do of course)? <<

Duh, That's the people he know's. Presidents get their cabinet members from ties they made prior to getting into office. Nothing earth shattering here.

>>I could go on but you get the idea.<< Unfortunately you do go on and on and on....

... And use little of that genius IQ to logically deduce anything correctly.

Jim

All right genius who said this?

"An economy hampered with restrictive tax rates will never produce enough revenue to balance the budget, just as it will never produce enough jobs"

Here goes:

1) False - the creation of the credit bubble and the explosive trade deficits over the past 4 of the last 8 years will have to be paid for. So if you call this underlying cancer healthy we differ on this. Thats ok its going to take another year or two for this to blow up (just in time to kill any chance for President Bush to be reelected)

2) True or False. Don't know and never blamed McCain.

3) True or False. Don't know if we have the lowest rates (only know ours) but I expect the highest 5% in this country who pay over 80% of the income tax burden may pay more than most of the rest of the western industralized countries. I say may since I don't have stats for the other countries but doubt France and Germany top 5% pay 80% of the income tax burden.

4) True or False. Its how you present this one. They can be paying out of general funds and borrowing to fund other government programs. Did you give your refund back? Actually June receipts dropped due to corp est. payments dropping. Wait till personal income drops next year.

5) False - No way Bush / Cheney can be blamed for the energy companies maximizing profits.

6) False - Our social programs, welfare comes to mind, actually promotes with incentives people to have more children creating more of a social burden. Some times the medicine can be painfull but over time it starts to take effect.

7) False - the US is not a tax haven for foreign multi millionaires. They go to Bermuda, etc.

8) True and false. The jets & yacht parties are only deductible if there is a valid business (i.e. tax revenue generating) purpose. The business use has to be documented with proper record keeping. Personal use %'s are not allowed as a deduction. Conversely business that own these have to include the personal use % in the employees w-2 income. Business travel is true and business food and entertainment is only 50% deductible.

9) False - Bush orginally used the Clinton Adm. budget projections. If he can shift spending he should be able eaisly fund the programs.

10) False - this year the $38B is just now starting to impact the consumer. Appx 35 of the 38 should go rignt into consumption. Last I checked in eco 101 this helps GDP.

11) True - Bush so far has only been able to pass the tax cut. Whats wrong with increased energy exploration? Increase the supply to meet increasing demand and we pay less.

12) False - What environmental devastation. The Alaska preserve we are talking an area the size of Hartford in an area the size of MA, CT & RI. Lets also not forget wildlife in Prudhole bay is better than when dirlling started.

13) False - money only currupts those whos values allow them to be currupted. Are you calling Dowd or Libermann currupt since they take soft money. I'm not.

14) False - Who of the cabinet and appointees are from energy. Cheney as VP does not fall into this. Whitmann, Rice, Powell, O'Neil?? Can you name names here. Add the AG and there is 5 who are not from energy.

I can see why you couldn't go on. Your striking out like a champ here.
