Obviously if the product has real safety issues then it doesn't matter what the source of the article was.

However, right now we don't know whether it does in fact have safety issues. Thus from a short-term investment perspective it would indeed be good to know the source of the allegations made in the article. If they are coming from someone with an agenda then they need to be viewed with more suspicion than if they come from a "neutral" party.

It definitely is the case that most of the spin we hear is positive. Anyone that doesn't view most company and analyst announcements through a skeptical lens is not going to have a long and happy life as a biotech investor. I'm just applying my normal skepticism to this report as well, given that it pretty clearly has a negative bias.

FWIW, I don't currently have a BPUR position.
