That is not very sane strategy to push market into overproduction

Intel has said more than a few times that they believe that growth with resume at normal rates on the other side of this economic downturn/recession, and that they want to be ready. As you know you can't just turn semi production off and on like a light switch.

You can take their statements at face value, or not. Business is always a gamble. So far, as niceguy has pointed out, the market seems to support Intel's strategy. As an Intel investor, you ought to appreciate that.
