That does appear to be the "popular" conception...My point is that "popular" and "accurate" may be poles appart on this one as INTC may be hurting far more than AMD over the past while, reason being, AMD has been meeting its Athy units targets whereas INTC has benn missing by a mile its P4 unit targets...Somehow all that seems to be lost in the current stock price differential of $15 as the assumption persists that INTC can bump AMD off whenever it so decides...That was the case historically when AMD didn't compete across all markets but is no longer the case as AMD continues to bring to market the superior price/performing product...Yes INTC may be calling in all the stops at the moment to stall AMD's market share surge, but if P4 doesn't perk up over the next 6 months, INTC will be in a heap of red and INTC'll see the "teens" just as is AMD at the moment...
