I have been wondering about you. How've you been? You have been so quiet lately. What do you know?

You are right...howsmydrivinggal is not bias but I do believe she is realistic.

8/15/01 talked with Nicole Knowles, my notes...

INSP continues to power some of OMNISKY'S services, no question about it.

As far as the Verizon announcement with OMNY, the announcement was a bit unclear. The OMNY service is ONLY for Verizon's PDA's. {Note...I have been moved by three published articles and/or announcements that have set me off to speculation and finally to action...calling to verify information... In EACH case so far, the information was either incorrect or found needing further clarification which resulted in a significant change in the implication of the news as it related to INSP business, IMHO.}

The service OMNY had is strickly providing the Verizon PDA and not a 'smart device.'

I asked about the 5/11/01 announcement that OMNY was rolling out OXYGEN product. Knowles simply did not know if INSP was the power behind OXYGEN. She said it could be but as far as she knew, she could only recall INSP providing to MyOmnysky. She added that it 'very well could be' (INSP) new and she has not heard about it.

She said as INSP powers so many services for various companies and carriers that she sometimes is not current on various upgrades. Knowles digressed on the fact that every client orders different services, such as PIM or Shopping. This is propriatary and very competitive information and they never publish this information. She did say most clients take the PIM function (personal services, calendar, to do list, and email type of things).

The begining message on her voice mail regarding leaving your name and address for financial information deals with requesting an Investors Kit, or being mailed press releases.

Knowles stood by her reporting of 446 million dollars for INSP. My discrepency of 89.2 million (446 reported by Knowles - 356.8 off the 10Q = 89.2)

Knowles said the 89.2 was also invested money that does not fall under long term or short term. It falls under "other". An example of Other is mostly commercial paper and investments into other companies.

I asked about INSP investment into OMNYSKY. By what I read, it seemed to me INSP had about a 5 million dollar investment into OMNISKY. Knowles could not confirm the amount but I felt she agreed with my calculation.

Regarding her background. Knowles has worked in Investor Relations almost 5 years. She has been with INSP for 1.5 years. She came from a 'very large retail company.' She said her day today she returned 42 calls as investors expect a call back the same day. This, on top of her other responsibilities make for a long day.

I asked Knowles about the 10/16/00 announcement INSP published regarding INSP powering the OMNY platform. I asked if they would make a like announcement if they were no longer providing their services to OMNY. She said that INSP WOULD NOT make such an announcement. She quickly confirmed that INSP still has a relationship with OMNISKY, 'most definitely.'

She said most of the contracts (barring non performance) run longer term. They run 1 to 3 years. She then digressed on the fact she personally spoke with the INSP employee who handles the OMNY account yesterday (8/14/01) and he confirmed for her that INSP was providing services to them.

We rehashed the Verizon using only the PDA services from OMNY and that INSP has a relationship with VERIZON Superpages. i asked if that was all INSP had going with Verizon. Knowles said that INSP provides the PLATFORM for the VERIZON WIRELESS ENABLED PHONE.

<End of notes>.

here are a couple links that I just ran across tonight. The poster covers some of the things I also verified and goes beyond my ability in asking questions. I do not know this poster and, like my posting, you must decide for it's credibility.
