Ten, <what exactly happened to Scumbria?>

Probably enjoying what common people refer to as a "life." I remember having one a long time ago ... ;-)

Seriously, I don't know. I remember he was banned from SI temporarily for ambiguous reasons (too many off-topic posts? I don't know) but that ban was lifted long before he stopped posting. He did post a few times during this summer, most notably to announce that "The two-year party for Athlon is over." But after that, I suspect he might be using his time for other endeavors.

Why speculate about Scumbria?

<< Ten:
what exactly happened to Scumbria? I was away for a month, and when I came back, he was gone? Banned? Deceased?
thanks in advance, >>

The irony is precious. You were gone for a month, but you worry about Scumbria, who has only been gone for 3 weeks? (His last Peoplemarks post is July 25, which is 3 weeks.)

Send him a message. Ask him what he's doing.

Recall that he was saying he was possibly going to move to Europe. Last I heard, he said the area around Nice, France, was a likely place. If so, moving before the new school year is probably an important point. He may be on vacation, he may be moving to Europe, he may have just gotten tired of his "George W. Bush" contributions (where he was posting every couple of minutes for entire work-days...I'd like to be employed by _his_ employer!).
