Sharck, the puts were so cheap with trivial time premium so worth a gamble. Another advantage is I can go long the common tomorrow (with the puts as insurance) and may very well come out ahead from the long side. Will see how it reacts in the morning.

Regards,

Tom

Jesus... Japan is giving back all those gains...

Drinks on me if MU hits 30 before their earnings..

I gotta babble now that I took a few puffs... : ) This week at work has been hell.. There is pressure everywhere and its so thick you can cut it with a knife.. IM not sure if we have stabilized, started recovering or just taking a break with further bad times to come with this economy, but people are starting to realize what happened over the last 6 months was for real, and especially in the tech sector!

512mb is still plunging.. 256 dropped a bit and 128 is just being phased out.. Zero demand for DDR.. Rambus is worthless/no margins there.. Just about the ONLY way memory companies are making money is with non generic/specialized modules and even those you have stiff competition..

There is one way to make money in the chip market.. 72pin simm modules.. Demand will be there for another year or possibly two (stretching it) but everyone has stopped making them, and yet the demand is pretty consistent..

16mb simm module is worth double what a 128mb costs.. and you have to install pairs : ) anyone have deep pockets and want to buy some chips?

Tom just noticed you grabbed the puts on OTEX.>>>>

I said there is a high short position and near support, more likely to jump back to 25 then break down. Agree on it being undervalued and long entry.

I just started a small position long. Thanks for reminding me on this. I remember evaluating their product when I was a Dilbert. It looks like they have improved it. It is definitely an application that corporations need. The key to that type of product is the user interface.
