They're not whackos. They know exactly what they are doing. And I know no one has a monopoly on being right. I just don't like what they're doing. There's a big difference. Bush may not have a high IQ but he has brilliant handlers and planners. How else did they put him in office despite losign the popular vote, 7.5 years of success and the fact his factually his programs are much less popular than the way it was? Maybe they got lucky but it was also skillful use (and misuse) of power, spin and money. How have they been able to get away with the energy gougings (so far)? How can they push through the energy and Star Wars plans the majority doesn't believe in? How can they ruin campaign finance reform when most people want it? How can they make half the people believe Bush is compassionate? Brilliant tacticians. The system wasn't broken (except for campaign finance laws) but they convinced people to let them "fix" it anyway. Smart people. I fear them and respect them. But I believe they are standing in the way of a better, stronger and more united America. And I also believe they are inherently dishonest. I believe their power comes from the power to mislead, like a false advertisement. Extremely clever.
