Ha! Statements like that just make me feel better about my view. There is a big difference between being a contrarian on individual stocks and on the market as a whole. I never said I was bullish on "the market", but I am on a handful of out of favor, undervalued (IMO) stocks.

OTOH, I haven't heard very many market strategists or commentators who are truly bullish. Most say that while they expect a recovery (anywhere from Q4 to 2nd half of '02), they think investors should wait for actual signs of the recovery before buying stocks.

Look at the market volume if you think everyone's still bullish on the market. Look at the narrowing range of the indexes. Most investors are sitting on the sidelines, afraid to buy anything. Never short a dull market.

Yes, I am a contrarian and I am bullish. Just not on CSCO, YHOO, EBAY, or others that remain overvalued.
