In the long run, a weaker US dollar should help restore profitability of major US corporations, especially those in the high tech area.

I don't think there will be major withdrawl of $$$ from US equity market by foreign investors, considering the alternatives. Europe and Japan have bleaker ST outcomes, and the emerging markets are no place to park your dough.

I think you may have drawn the lower line too close there.

Also - excuse me for repeating myself - even a breakdown wouldn't by itself necessarily negate the falling wedge pattern.
