In the absence of specific jokes, how can one weigh in on whether a joke is funny? Did it become the subject following your equating (you feel the same about them or something) of jokes and satire, generically, about a national politcal figure, to personal attacks on X? You used the word legitimate. I took exception to that as a concept, in the political realm. I suspect that we agree about this in so far as it is relevant to anything important. God, I hope we do, anyway. I have to get some work done now.
