One does not have to file a return to pay taxes. Anybody who is employed has already paid their taxes (assuming they owe any) on 2001 income thru June. (If they have not, well then they are in violation of the law.)

I have paid the taxes in question. I have not filed a 2001 return. I am getting money back that I have already paid. That is not an advance, that is a refund.

I will file a return in April, to document the taxes I have already paid. Uncle Sam and I will settle out any differences in amount owed at that time.

I note that you again fall back on the personal insults. Sure sign of the looser.

They are, of course, partial refunds of the money the Daschle/Gephardt/Clinton socialists stole from the productive sector of the economy.

The biggest electoral weapon of the above-named socialists was always that most people aren't paying attention and don't care, so thus any crime against the constitution and the people of the republic should be ignored.

Now the bovine focus group "undecideds" have received a check because a republican president was elected. That's a big, ground-shaking mistake by Daschlegephardt. Now it can no longer be said that these air-heads aren't paying attention. Now the argument can be made that it DOES make a difference for whom they vote: a $300, $500 or $600 difference. ONE politician FINALLY did something for them.

Now, granted, their world view is limited, and they shouldn't be deciding who runs any country, much less ours. If we made it reasonably difficult to vote, it would filter out these thoughtless wonders. But they do determine close elections, and the effect of the refund has been vastly underestimated by the careless liberals, as will be demonstrated in 2002 and 2004, when the left wing media once again expresses "surprise" at the "unexpected" Republican strength...

Furthermore, you can probably expect a move next year by Republicans to augment the tax cut with and ADDITIONAL rebate. It's a no-lose idea: Daschlegephardt kills it in Congress and it not only splits their shaky coalition, it drives home the point that THESE GUYS ARE ONLY IN POLITICS TO ROB PEOPLE WHO WORK FOR A LIVING.

And, of course, if it passes, Bush and whomever he campaigns for in 2002 get all the credit.

Against that, what does Daschlegephardt have? Kyoto? The "trust fund"? Debt reduction? ANWAR? ROFLMAO!!!!!
