(OT) Just for fun, of course .....

If Poe was going to write AJ Prufrock's love song, perhaps it would come out something like this (I have a headache after only trying one verse, so you can imagine what Poe's head must have been like --- he did have a rather strangely shaped head :) )

Let us go, both you and I, to ponder evening against the sky,
Like a drowsy patient, quaintly lain on table low,
Through deserted streets we mutter, and retreating, again stutter,
As the night so restless, restless, spreads the evening as we go.
"What is it?" you must not ask, of insidious intent,
Or the saw-dust in the sea-shells, or what questions might have meant,
As you tediously follow, through the streets, and every hollow,
We will go and make our visit at the chamber door.
