The Teamsters hardly need any incentive to support ANWAR drilling. They drive tricks for a living. The AFL-CIO also understands the importance of plentiful energy. But, since they are a Soviet-like institution, their Marxian leaders will continue keep their grip on power, and funnel union resources illegally to Democrats.

It's only the votes they can't deliver...

American Sprit BS:"...Bush-Cheney wanting and being able to keep energy
prices higher that, in effect, the entire tax cut goes into their cronies pockets and helps them buy their way into the wilderness areas at the same time....."

Fact:
"....OPEC is doing its best to keep prices for a basket of cartel crudes close to its central $25
a barrel target. The basket was valued at $24.97 on Wednesday having averaged $24.79
for the year so far.

Libya on Thursday became the latest OPEC member to inform customers that it was
implementing the cartel's latest round of output cuts by trimming exports.

``Libya is committed to sticking by the OPEC agreement to reduce output from
September,'' an official at Libya's National Oil Company told Reuters.

Major supplies including Saudi Arabia and Iran already have informed buyers of lower
deliveries in September when OPEC's one million bpd reduction, agreed at the end of
July, comes into force. ...."

I posted to you on ANWAR yesterday. An area the size of Hartford for drilling in an area appx the size of CT, MA & RI.

They are only drilling in the one area where the oil is. Its one specific area on the coast. Quit being a fear mongerer on this. You are wrong. Quit beating a dead horse. You might drill (waste capital and resources) where there is no oil but the drillers like to at least have some geological readings supporting the drilling. They know where the oil field is and that is where they want to drill.

The environmentals 1st defense was there is not much oil (only the 2nd largest field in US).

2nd defense is the harm to the animals (then we see how the wildlife is thriving in prudhole bay and this would be set up the same way).

3rd defense is it ruins the whole preserve (and we see its such a small %).

I'm waiting for the next excuse.

See you succeeded in having me respond to one of your misrepresentations before you responed to the last one where you dodge the truth.

Mr. Spirit, how come you wont answer my question? Here it is again:

Are you one of the people that thinks the people who paid NO fed income tax should have gotten a rebate?

Please set aside the assena debate about whether it should be called a rebate. Substitute whatever word you would like for rebate to describe what this check from the US Gov't really is.
