Outdoor Intel today announced a strategic partnership with National Geographic Maps to develop and market a number of consumer products that will combine Fishing Hot Spots (FHS) mapping data with National Geographic Maps' TOPO! software platform.

I have that Topo USA software, if that's the same thing they're talking about here. It's great! 3D topographical displays of anywhere in the country.

Paul,

re: Outdoor Intel

Had me going there for a second, as in, "What the hell are they up to now, FISHING?!?"

Let's keep it indoor Intel.

John

Paul, re: Outdoor Intel

This, oddly, isn't totally off the mark. One of my customers for embedded processors in the mid-80's was Lowrance. They were a very early adopter of the 8096 used in an electronic "fish finder"!

On another note, I'll bet Intel legal will be all over this firm that calls itself "Outdoor Intel". I would expect a name change very soon.

Kind regards,
greg
