Hello Tom, My search for OTEX brought me here. With your comments on puts and the subject title "Amateur Traders", I thought I could help. I've had my share of 400% gainers and 100% losers. If you have enough money, you can gamble on e.g. MRVL falling below 25 in 2 days from 28, without worry of losing 100% of investment in that timeframe. If it's 2 puts at $0.45, it only puts you out $100+. Since I've done my share of gambling and been burned, I pass on those. Good luck to you. Ketan
