Chelsea was found left abandoned tied to a fire hydrant 10 years ago. Of all the dogs we saw at the animal shelters, she's the only one to lick my hand when it was offered through fence. My wife though I was nuts to pick her becasue she was so excited about being taken for walk at pound that she couldn't walk a straight line.

Needless to say she's been the perfect pet and has never even ventured off the propertyeven when we left her outside accidently during the day once. She only has taste for my pants that have cuffs on them but they have went out of style anyway. She dutifully lugs the newspaper, including Sunday edition, from the street to the house, 150 ft , for one dog biscuit.

I would probably go the the shelters again when the need arises.
