question would be how do we (the earth) emit more Ergs than we receive.

The BTU's are there .. we receive them from the sun .. then some are reflected back out and some are stored.

Man seems to have upset (slightly) this system. Stored BTU's are being pulled out of the ground and then released .. I do my part. I send my newspapers to the land fill ..

I don't like nuke because of the BTU factor.

But all of this is kinda silly when Yellowstone could go off and reverse all the BTU damage that mankind could do in a thousand years in just one hour of belching ash..
