Quit defending the gougers. Just make yourself look crooked. Obviously they did it deliberately and abused it as much as possible. Refusing blame is the GOP spin but it will catch up to them. Evidence is accumulating. Meanwhile they stonewall subpoenas and refuse to hand over documents. Every one of them. But leaks and heroic whistle-blowers till surface. In fact they already have. You can fool some of the people some of the time but not all of the people al of the time. A lesson they should learn. But what do they care? They already got away with hundreds of billions in windfall profits. And possession is 9/10's of the law. We'll never get it back.

As for your gas charts, it's common knowledge Calif prices soared 500% and I know because I saw my own gas bills. $12 just to leave my pilot light on for a month w/o useage in May too AFTER the prices supposedly came back down. Ripoff artists. Don't defend them help us fight them. At least we can make sure it never happens again.

Just cause your bill jumped 500% doesn't mean NG prices jumped 500%.

I am quite sure that his bill did not jump 500% and it is fact that NG prices did not. You waste your time trying to make light dawn over this marblehead.....

Actually, the there is not even a coincidence.

If you look at the price charts, natural gas prices collapsed in January. Gasoline prices actually went up for a while after he defected. An interesting side note is that gasoline never closed higher than it did in May 2000.

Jeffords deflection is coincident in the timing of this one. The energy drop has more to do with conservation, slowing economy and mild weather. Not Jeffords.
