I'll compromise and call it a pre-bate or pre-fund. It's so unusual when the government actually gives some of OURmoney back that it deserves a new word, n'est ce pas?

You buy a car and get a rebate do you have to send it back?

This is a rebate on Y2K taxes filed in '01. It has nothing to do with this year. 5% of Y2K taxes up to the limits.

Oddly enough Bush never had this in his tax cut plan originally. Congress added it when it cut the cut to $1.3 trillion instead of $1.6 trillion. Bush compromised and I got $600. Thank you #43.
