the Underpainter was 50 cents at the library- they have a section where they sell donations they are not going to use. It looked very interesting. It has lovely language in it, and I am really enjoying it. I buy all sorts of things at the library- I furnished my entire library for summer school by buying 50 cent books at the library and a bunch of old Ranger Ricks for 10 cents a piece. I think the kids loved the Ranger Ricks more than anything else. Of course in the kids eager hands they all began to fall apart- but who cares? They learned to love print. That's the important thing.

My son has issues with pragmatic speech. That is why I am reading that book. I have a collection of books on pragmatic speech, Asberger's and non-verbal learning disabilities because they are very helpful to me in framing at home lessons for my son, and in helping his teachers teach him better.
