Why would Cheney say such a thing?

I don't know but he hasn't been challenged yet. What I want to know is why Davis is crowing about all the plants coming on line that he has "shepherded". Is he proud of his "glut"?

Before you don't answer think that we have high levels of conservation that pay off in two ways, one your bill is lower and two, the GOVERNOR is giving you a discount on lower usage....all the while we are experiencing a GLUT and looking into the future HIGH LONG TERM ENERGY CONTRACTS that will ensure high prices in the future which may.....bring about more conservation and more GLUT.....HOW'S THAT FOR A SCARY SCENARIO?

AS, you are much more entertaining on this thread.

It is interesting that CA would not allow the power companies to buy future energy at the bottom of the price cycle, but would require them to do so at the top.

Now, your reference on this issue was equally entertaining, could you provide any support to your statement:

Cheney said we need 1900 new power plants.

I'd like to see the context of that statement, assuming it was made.
