Watch for this article being quoted by the gloom-and-doomers.

It already has been. Today's CNBC floor trader interview had someone citing it who obviously read little more than the headline, which he seemed to accept without any reservation whatsoever.

Unfortunately, stories appearing in Barron's or the WSJ are given more credibility than many of them deserve. Otherwise intelligent people seem to sacrifice their skepticism to these publications.

Totally different topic. Lou Dobbs announced that Kathleen Hayes is going to join Moneyline in September. Great! I watch Moneyline on videotape and can fast forward over her. And it will be a welcome change to lose her strident, uninformed or underinformed interviews and opinions on CNBC. I just can't imagine why Lou would ever have hired her - their personalities seem to be at opposite ends of the spectrum.
