OT-yup,BearCat Grandstands at U.of.Maine(hey Maine is bigtime, they play Villanova every year:).
I have been reading about the Vet,what a disaster.
To think i and my wife were there in those stands when "Lefty" won his 20th in his 27 game win season and there wasn't a rat to be seen:)
really got "freaked" when i saw that our seemingly indestructible Duce Staley got that rare Lis-Franc injury because he slipped on a puddle from a pipe leaking onto the playing field.( i had thought it was just one of those things--that's a song isn't it?:)
The NFL player's union is really getting mad about the Vet,this may be a problem that won't go away.
Is Memorial Field still there, like some ancient ruin of Rome:)? Does Franklin Field still have grass? What a mess.

OT--JB i just this moment finished reading about the problems with the new turf.I can see there is a serious chance that the NFL will rule against football being played at the Vet.
This has turned into a disaster, they didn't give a damn about the Eagles in selecting that turf--it was for the Phillies only.
As McNabb said, football is not a sport to be played with baseball cleats.
I am sure Eagles have their lawyers at work over a lawsuit against the city--whew what a disaster.Max
