Jane: 99 bottles of beer on the wall 99 bottles of beer take 1 down pass it around 98 bottles of beer on the wall The way I recall it from many years ago and it may be a midwestern thing was; 99 bottles of beer on the wall If one of those beers decided to fall. 98 bottles beers on the wall And so on and so on. Occasionally I sing it to my daughter and it drives her nuts. Do you suppose that somewhere in a semantics class in the year 2101 at USC they will be discussing the lyrics of this song. Scary stuff.
