Hi Jock,

When all is said and done, I believe that the"intellectual capital" that Wilf Corrigan puts into the management of LSI is what will mostly hold LSI well coming out of the semi downturn. There are few semi CEO's with the breadth of Wilf's understanding of the effects of the cyclicality of the semiconductor industry. IMO, LSI emerges from each downturn with a much stronger relative industry position. If Wilf's customers wanted generic communication chips, I believe that he would make them on a competitive and profitable basis.

Best regards,

Mike

P. S. My money is on your side of the Jock vs. Dipy dialogue. (Well, it will be, before the bell is rung.)

P.P.S. In case you haven't made it to Scotland with your sticks yet, you might want to make a trip to Bandon Dunes on the Oregon Coast south of Coos Bay. There are now 36 holes (developed by someone from Illinois) that are the best replication of linksland golf in the Western U. S. and very representative of the finest of linksland in Scotland and Ireland.
