Not sure what that means but, on the legal side, it cannot be assumed that one inexperienced patent jurist will be upheld under the facts of this case; on the technology side, it is much too early to write RDRAM off - reading between the lines of Mooring's interview, I suspect that there are significant, unannounced developments to unfold in the near future. The IDF in 2 weeks, for example, should prove interesting.

Don't forget that human beings are opportunistic by nature, and it is no surprise that RMBS is being dumped on at this point.

Hi Don Green; If this is a triathlon, I guess the three events were:

(1) Become the industry mainstream standard.
(2) Convert Intel over to RDRAM.
(3) Make the industry pay royalties on the winner of the first two parts.

It doesn't look to me like Rambus is running a very good competition. In fact, we all know that an Athlon can't use RDRAM, so why would Rambus get anywhere with a triathlon?
