Elmer, I believe the way Dan sees it is that Dresden can easily produce 100% yield, the proof being because AMD is able to lower prices on a CPU that everybody obviously wants. In fact, costs must be so low due to high volumes, that AMD must be making a ton of money. At prices these low, Intel can't compete. Plus, the most likely situation is that the Pentium 4 will get slower in the future. Then, AMD can easily reproduce the same effects in Austin for 14+ million additional chips, allowing them to take nearly 90% of the CPU market before the end of the year, with VIA claiming the other 10%. And then Dan wakes up from his dream.

Elmer,

Re: " ... someone should remind him that 5000 wafers at 0 yield is 0 chips.
But the binsplits are at 100%."

Ccccrap in ... Ccccrap out. <ggg>

Elmer - Re: "If that idiot is claiming this someone should remind him that 5000 wafers at 0 yield is 0 chips."

Idiot Dan throws up so may laughable lies that it is hilarious to think that he loaded up on AMD at $32 - where Mad Man Sanders was dumping his !
