More like now. It's called Spanglish. If you happen to be where you can catch one side of a Hispanic phone conversation, half the words are mostly English and half are mostly Spanish and the rest are made up combinations. In 150 years, American English will be as foreign to those people as Celtic or Welsh is to us.
