Hi Steve Lee; "That still doesn't answer the question. Where do you make the implication that these figures are units rather than sales?"

By now you've undoubtedly read further and discovered the link that explicitly stated that Samsung's production figures are in bits, while its sales numbers are in dollars (as is standard in the industry).

But just for a moment, lets take a brief jaunt into mom and pop fantasy land, the domain where they misinterpret industry figures, and assume that you're right, LOL, BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Okay. Have it your way. We'll assume that Samsung's figures are dollar oriented rather than units. In that case, Samsung's figures show that DDR is outshipping RDRAM by 4 to 1 (in units) at Samsung. Do you really believe that? Further, Samsung recently stated that they have about 40% of the DDR market and 50 or 60% of the RDRAM market. Again, your assumption that the Samsung figures are percentages based on sales (rather than the production figures in units) would imply that DDR is shipping far, far, far more DIMMs than RDRAM. Would you really prefer to believe that?

Now go back and review your assumptions again.
