Speaking of beer...

I was thinking of getting this as a gift for my wife's birthday.

beerofthemonthclub.com

She doesn't drink beer though.
Do you think she would mind if I got it for her anyway?

P.S. I thought I really loved beer. That was until I saw this url: beerweek.com
Obviously these dudes love it. I apparently only like it.
They even like to read about beer and write about it.
I only like to taste it...
Apparently there are those who like to pay $50 to read about it.

...$50 buys a lot of beer...

Something tells me they drew up their business plan after knocking a few back...

i have had the Smirnoff Ice. they taste kind of like a 7-up or sprite and go down about as easy. good one to buy for the wife. ;o)

picked up some Jack Daniels bbq sauce last week but haven't tried it yet. glad to hear it's good.

it seems a while back you posted that you didn't grow corn this year. i am curious as to why. it is one of my favorite things to grow and eat. i usually have separate areas so i can grow high-sugar hybrids, super-sweets and sugary-enhanced hybrids. is it too fattening or take up too much space?

Smirnoff Ice is OK, vodka/lemonade style: it's one of what we call 'alco-pops'. Sweet, often fizzy, pre-mixed drinks.. good for later at night after you've filled up on beer <g>
They've been out in this country for some years: started with Hooch and Two Dogs (both alcoholic lemonade), about '95 or so: Ice has been around for maybe 5 years, and it's fairly common.

I'd recommend Metz Citrus or Cranberry Breezer/Cranberry Aqua, they're about the least sweet. Moscow Mule (vodka/ginger) is also good.

Why do I sound like an expert? <g>
