I would argue that all these polls we are constantly treated to, scientific or not, are less than useless. They are nothing but an attempt to move public opinion by playing on the base human instinct to go with the herd.

If you understand technology, there are safeguards against multiple voting. I verified that by going to the results page and then voting I could only vote once. What is a random sampling anyway. Some number of people by an accident of being home and answering a phone. On a particular day some number find a vote a vote.com and vote.

A random group had time and were contacted on the phone and a random group had time and voted at vote.com.
