That would be a start.

Personally, I think the current lack of sales, and subsequent drop in AMD prices, is the result of the pre-XP stall. No retailers are ordering PC's, they will be dead inventory when XP appears. In a couple of weeks the OEM's should start ordering components to build the PC's to fill the shelves left empty by the inventory draw down. AMD sales, and prices, should pick up at that time.

In the meantime, it sure is ugly.
