You did explain that the little checks are being referred to as "Rebates" because this is something your average K-mart shopper can relate to and feel good about. A "rebate" check is an attempt to buy votes for Bushy. A Form 1040 - line 74 Tax Credit does nothing. But in reality, that's exactly what this really is - a TAX CREDIT. It's called "marketing" And that's something even you can understand. Just wait until the full impact of this back-loaded bomb is felt. Just wait. In the meantime, keep spinning.
